If you've ever been to Acadia National Park, then you probably recognize this lighthouse. Bass Harbor Light is world renowned as a must see when visiting the park. So much so that you need to arrive well over an hour before sunset if you want even the slightest hope of claiming a coveted spot on the rocks looking up at the lighthouse. And if sunset coincides with high tide, you better make it two hours because these rocks get really small once the tide comes in and tripod real estate becomes very hard to come by.
I'm a nature, landscape, and if I'm lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time also a wildlife photographer, based in Barrington, New Hampshire.
